About the Lusitania:
The sinking of the Lusitania is widely regarded as the catalyst for the United States to enter into World War 1 in the war against Germany. This is one of the reasons that I have created this blog because I feel that the sinking of the Lusitania is an important part of global history. I will quote an extract from an online article that sheds a little more light on the Lusitania. 1,119 of the 1,924 aboard died that day.

“The Lusitania made her maiden voyage from Liverpool to New York in September 1907. Construction had begun in 1903 with the goal of building the fastest liner afloat. Her engines produced 68,000-horse power and pushed the giant through the water at an average speed over 25 knots. Dubbed the “Greyhound of the Seas” she soon captured the Blue Ribbon for the fastest Atlantic crossing…
…On May 7 1915, the ship neared the coast of Ireland. At 2:10 in the afternoon a torpedo fired by the German submarine U 20 slammed into her side. A mysterious second explosion ripped the liner apart. Chaos reigned. The ship listed so badly and quickly that lifeboats crashed into passengers crowded on deck, or dumped their loads into the water. Can science create a visible quantum object?
It seems that it can. This is from a temporal to an ontological state.
In a breakthrough experiment an object has been created that is visible to the unaided eye, but has been shown to be in two places at the same time
If this is the case it seems to me that this is another good example as to how metaphysical/ontological science plays such an important role in understanding wider reality.

The Connection Between Child Abuse and Bipolar Disorder
There has been discussion in the media about child sex abuse. Once upon a time child abuse both at home and at schools was common. To a lesser degree this type of abuse is still occurring but is probably happening more so in private settings.
Recent research is beginning to demonstrate there is a close link between child abuse and bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is serious. Bipolar derivative from child abuse is shown to be associated with lifetime substance abuse, the onset of early illness in life and long term notions of individuals thinking about committing suicide. Some do. In one study about half of bipolar sufferers diagnosed suffered severe stress and anxiety when they were children. From my research into my mild bipolar disorder I have learned many general practitioners are not aware of this connection. I have raised this issue in my post because I feel it is in the public interest to do so. There is a wealth of material online should readers elect to investigate this matter further. I acknowledge that the link below is well outdated.
David Bohm believes there is life, mind and wholeness in all things
It seems that the eminent physicist David Bohm was profoundly affected by his association with both Albert Einstein and the internationally respected philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti
I feel that this is interesting. In this short thirteen minute video presentation Bohm talks about his implicate order theory in physics as it relates to all things [including ontologically]. This includes both the universe as well as wider reality as well. You will notice that the Dalai Lama was present at different times during this discussion. Bohm died in 1992.
Why I think David Bohm is a hero of science
Bohm cared to get to the bottom of all things, including reality
It is no secret that I feel David Bohm is amongst the deepest thinking and cleverest scientists of all time. Bohm dared to think about and explain what many other scientists of his generation thought was ludicrous, and was prepared to embrace the most profound ideas of Eastern philosophy into his scientific theories as well.
If you take time to look more closely at the life and times of David Bohm in the attachment, I think you will see the man to be scientifically very insightful and gifted, and a person with a deep sense of personal and social morality as well. He said that each individual in his life is in total contact with all other things (phenomena), including us with each other (his implicate order model). Furthermore, if mankind takes the time to recognize this connectedness then the problems of the world would sort themselves out.
I think if you can understand where Bohm is coming from with his views about science and life in general, you will understand my instinctual views as well, together with the reasons why. I have incorporated two secondary works about the life, times and beliefs of David Bohm. I feel you will find them reasonably straightforward to read and his words gripping and challenging, even if you do not agree with them.

This is an older presentation that I have re structured and re-posted. I feel that its contents are timeless and as such they deserve contemporary interest.
These nine quotations below are a reminder to us all that non-local (metaphysical/ontological) physics remains alive and well in all epochs. In my opinion this situation will never change. For example when you think that the Standard model does not say what causes particles to have the properties that they do, or where mass and charge come from you know that there are still huge numbers of metaphysical/ontological ‘gaps’ for them yet to fill. This is with respect to them forming a unified theory of everything. Furthermore, and perhaps more significantly, physicists cannot yet accurately demonstrate that which is microscopic and macroscopic in physics. (Metaphysical/Ontological means ‘things’ that scientists have not yet discovered or been able to scientifically describe and test yet. It does not mean pseudoscience as is commonly believed in the wider community). This is although they mostly know such ‘things’ are real. Consciousness is a good example of this. I believe that one day scientists will be subtly driven to the conclusion that reality-physics is a process. It is a both a pre-geometric and geometric process relative only unto to itself.
